WELCOME TO THE RELAUNCH OF HOME ON POPLAR CREEK

Girl! Can I just have a moment to literally scream and jump for joy! You may have noticed something a little different about this space. Yup! It looks different doesn't it?

Girl! Can I just have a moment to literally scream and jump for joy! You may have noticed something a little different about this space. Yup! It’s gotten an extensive makeover! Over the past few months, I’ve been working with an amazing Branding Specialist named Amber Crudup. For some time, I knew that I wanted to take my blog to the next level but I just wasn’t putting in the time and dedication to do so. So when I discovered Amber and had a discovery call with her, I knew it was time to take the next step.

We spent the past few months digging into who I am and what my brand represents. And then we dug into updating my website to reflect that. I also learned a TON about myself along the way. I learned that in most things that I’ve done in my life including blogging, I was doing it without a plan and pretty haphazardly. My entire purpose and why began out of my passion to connect with wives and mommas to talk about real life issues that we all face, all while creating a home for our loved ones. And I had lost my why.

Can I get real with you for a moment? Like really transparent? At the same time that I started my blog, I created my Instagram account. Instagram can be a community where you flourish and make connections and lifelong friendships. OR, it can be a complete time suck and a constant reminder that your life and what you’re doing is never good enough. Can you guess which category I fell into? I’d say a bit of both. While I’ve made true and genuine connections with some truly awesome women, I felt myself constantly feeling like my little squares just weren’t good enough. And don’t get me started on the follower count. Man oh man! To see those numbers fluctuate on a daily basis can really get into your psyche no matter how strong you think you are.

So I had to check myself. And God did too. I took a little bit of a step back from the beloved app to really be present for my family and myself. And man did some glorious things happen! I started to think a little more clearly about where this space was going. And I’d love to share that with you!

MY FRIDAY FIVE

I love to do a lot of browsing on the internet. I usually have this grand wishlist in my head that I never actually purchase but it’s fun to look, right? On Fridays I’ll be sharing my finds from home decor, kids, women and men’s clothing and products.

WHAT ELSE IS NEW?

In addition to my vow to stay consistent, I have also relaunched my Interior Design business – Poplar Creek Interiors!!  Can I get a YAY!!!! At this time, I’ll be offering online design services that I’m so excited about! I’ve also created a Facebook group exclusively for wives and mommas to have a place of solace. A place where we can get help and support in a judgment free space and also celebrate each other.

And lastly, you may have notice a little tab that say “The Market”… Yup! I’m opening my own little market. The Market on Poplar Creek to be exact. While I don’t have a specific launch date yet, you will for sure be the first to know!

I’m so happy to share in this moment with you. I hope you’ll continue to follow and share here! And don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter so you’ll never miss a beat AND join my awesome community of wives and moms over on Facebook!

Until next time,

Nicole. You gotta get out of my head. We we really need to connect more because umm yeah. My break Fromm IG has brought so much clarity. While I haven’t been working with a branding guru, my background is in PR and marketing and I’ve been really trying to reassess what’s best. I can’t wait to see the streamlined posts!!!

We certainly do! I’ve read so many of your newsletters and blog posts and feel every single word! I knew you had to have some experience in graphic design or marketing because your work is amazing! I can’t wait to see where you’re headed as well!

It looks great. I like that you laid out a schedule of what we can expect during the week. Looks like I need to get my game up and get back to blogging. IG is such a time suck and I’m over the numbers game.
