This year I’m so excited for the Fourth of July! Not because of all the good eats on the grill or the fireworks, but because we’re hosting our very first Fourth of July Celebration. When we finally made the decision to have a cookout, my creative brain went into overdrive. Naturally, the first thing I thought about was how can I make this event look SPECTACULAR!!! I scoured Pinterest for Fourth of July table setting ideas which inspired me to come up with a few of my own to share with you!

I’ve said it before, Homegoods is THE best place to stumble on things that will spark so much creativity. As I was browsing the aisles the other day, I came across tons of blue plates that made my little heart sing! And so I loaded up the cart and couldn’t wait to get home to play around with my new finds!

These ideas, I hope, will help you to think outside of the box when you host your upcoming Fourth of July get together. The cute little patriotic plates, napkins and cups are cool, but you can still be patriotic by looking elsewhere while sticking to the patriotic color scheme. I also pulled items from around the house to save a few bucks. Don’t afraid to go shopping around your kitchen or refrigerator.

The Gold Rimmed Plate

For my gold rimmed plates, I wanted the gold to peek out to give a little bit of sparkle but not a ton. It give your Fourth of July table setting an unexpected and special look that’s not typical.

I also picked up the patriotic ramekins and mini flags from the Target dollar spot. The napkin was a fun way to add in the flag.

The Floral Plate

For the floral plate look, I swapped out the dessert plate and layered my place mats to come up with a completely different look.

The Marble Plate

The marble plate was fun to work with because it made me think outside of my comfort by utilizing the red more. You know I typically decorate using cool color palettes but the end look using the marble plate was super fun and patriotic!

The Ginger Jar Plate

I LOVEEEE ginger jars and I’m sure you’ve noticed their increasing popularity. Back in the day, I remember my grandmother’s china cabinet filled with ginger jars and plates. Oh I wish I could have appreciated it then! I love how using the ginger jar plate creates a fresh take on Fourth of July decor.
